The Child Safety Operating System for Churches

Every child goes home with the right person.

KINLOCK replaces printed security stickers with NFC wristbands and photo-verified guardian IDs. Before a child leaves the room, it checks that the person collecting is allowed to, and it keeps a record nobody can change.

  • Runs on PCs and NFC Android phones you already own
  • Wristbands from R3.50 each
  • Plans from R499 a month

Every child. Known. Protected. Accounted for.

At any moment during a service, KINLOCK can tell you:

The childPhoto, room, age group and whether they're checked in.
The guardianWho dropped the child off, with a photo-verified KINLOCK ID.
The locationWhich campus, service and room the child is in right now.
The safety informationAllergies, medical notes and care instructions, shown to authorised workers only.
Who released the childTo whom, by whom and when, permanently recorded.

A matching sticker only proves that two stickers match.

Most check-in systems are built around attendance and printed labels. KINLOCK is built around one question: can you prove the right child went home with the right, authorised person?

A Sunday with KINLOCK

Families register once. After that, drop-off and pick-up take a scan and a tap.

Check in

The guardian shows their KINLOCK ID. Staff see their photo and children, and tap a wristband onto each child.

During the service

Leaders see their room list live. Tapping any band shows who the child is and where they belong.

If something goes wrong

Lost bands are voided, concerns become alerts, and an emergency roll call checks every room at once.

Release

Tap the band and scan the collector's ID. KINLOCK confirms permission, staff compare photos, then confirm the handover.

Follow a full Sunday, minute by minute

Six checks before any child is released

KINLOCK doesn't rely on one check. A release has to pass all six, in order, and every outcome is written to the audit log, including refusals.

A QR identity on the guardian's phone or a printed card. Revoke and reissue it any time.

KINLOCK Band

An NFC wristband linked to one child for one session. Nothing personal is stored on it.

KINLOCK Verify

Photo-assisted release, with the collector's permission checked by the system.

KINLOCK Live

Live counts by campus, service, age group and room, including a floor plan view.

KINLOCK Alert

Raise refused pickups, lost bands, medical concerns and safeguarding exceptions.

Audit log

Every check-in, scan, transfer, override and release, with a time and a name. Read-only, even for admins.

Emergency roll call

Every room scans its children. Anyone unaccounted for is flagged at once.

Parent portal

Parents register their family, keep photos up to date and manage who may collect.

Multi-campus

One church or many campuses, with your own branding and role-based access for each team.

What each person on your team gets

Children's ministry lead

A live view of every room, fewer queues at the door, and volunteers who know exactly what to do.

Safeguarding officer

Release checks you can explain to your board, and an audit log that answers "who released this child?"

Safeguarding and data

Volunteers

Scan, tap, confirm. The screen tells them when a child can go home and when they can't.

How it works

Parents

No stickers to keep track of. They show their KINLOCK ID and choose who else may collect.

What changes for parents

Built for anywhere an organisation temporarily takes responsibility for a child: Sunday services and midweek programmes, preschools and aftercare, holiday clubs, camps, VBS and conferences.

Questions churches ask

Do we have to buy new hardware?

No. KINLOCK runs on a PC or laptop with a browser, or on an NFC Android phone. You'll need wristbands, and you can add a kiosk or Scouts later.

What if a parent loses their phone?

Their KINLOCK ID can be revoked and reissued, so the old one stops working. The ID can also be printed as a card.

What happens when a wristband goes missing?

Staff void it and tap on a new one. The old band can't be used again, so it can't be used to collect a child.

Can a grandparent or friend collect a child?

Yes, if a parent has added them as a collector with a photo and staff have approved them. They collect with their own KINLOCK ID.

What's stored on the wristband?

Only an anonymous ID. The child's name, allergies and medical notes stay in KINLOCK and are shown only to authorised staff.

How do parents sign up?

Your church sends them a registration link. They add their details, their children and anyone allowed to collect, then sign in with their email. There's no password to remember.

Can KINLOCK connect to our church app?

Yes. KINLOCK Enterprise includes an API so your church app can work with KINLOCK.

Is there a pilot programme?

Yes. Pilot churches in South Africa get setup help, training and a direct line to the team building KINLOCK. Early-adopter pricing may be available. About the pilot
